I've never blogged before. I enjoy reading other people's blogs but never really thought that I could or wanted to make them myself. Until recently that is. You see, in general, my life is pretty normal. Boring, some might say. I work, go to school, and spend a lot of time with my family and my wife. I'm a very laid back person and don't tend to get upset often. On occasion, however, I feel the need to vent about an injustice that's happened. That's what this blog is all about. Frustration.
Since I'm new to blogging, I'll leave all names and specifics out because I have no idea who can and can't see this!
I work for a career college as an instructor. My immediate supervisor is, overall, a good person. What I have a problem with is the way she communicates. She responds with , her emotions all the time. There have been subtle threats about calling in sick, not getting work done to her liking, etc. The most difficult thing about it is trying to find a way to communicate with her that won't set her off. To be honest, the only way I've found that works is manipulating the conversation so that she always feels like she's winning. It's unfortunate that it's so simple but it's better than always being frustrated at the end!
So... if any of you out there have any ideas on how to deal with an emotional unprofessional leader, let me know!
